Q: Where do you ship?
A: We ship to all 50 states. You must be 21 years or older to order wine gift baskets.
Q: I have more than 50 recipients on my order, can I still use your web site?
A: Yes, please give us a call for assistance. If you'd still like to enter your order through our website, you will have to break up your order into separate orders of 50 recipients or less. The total billing will be the same as if it were entered as one complete order.
Q: What is your guarantee policy?
A: We guarantee the timely arrival of your gifts in perfect condition. If you or your recipient are not 100% satisfied, simply let us know and we'll make it right!.
Q: What is your discount policy?
A: We offer a 5% discount on orders totaling $5,000 or more (excluding shipping and sales tax). We also occasionally offer specials or discounts through our email newsletters. You will need to enter that catalog's source code when placing an order via our website to take advantage of any special offer.
Q: Can I substitute an item in the basket or create a custom basket?
A: We can make substitutions or customize baskets if you order 75 or more of the same basket with a minimum purchase of $3000 prior to November 1, 2008 or after January 15, 2009.
Q: If I place an order, how will my baskets be shipped?
A: We ship with UPS, who is our preferred carrier.
Q: Do you offer shipping insurance?
A: All gifts are insured against loss and damage during shipping at no extra cost to you!
Q: Can I ship my basket anywhere?
A: Almost anywhere, we cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO - FPO Boxes or foreign addresses. We can ship to our friends in Hawaii and Alaska, however, please add $30 to the listed shipping price.
Q: Can I send a personalized message with my gift baskets?
A: Yes, you can! Remember to include your message in the space provided on our order form. Your baskets will arrive with your personalized gift card.
Q: Why do you need my recipient's phone number?
A: UPS must have the recipient's phone number to qualify for our guaranteed delivery service. We will not contact your gift recipients via phone unless we are having problems with delivery.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We are available to take your calls Monday – Friday: 9 am – 5 pm PST. You may place your order on our website or fax your order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Q: What forms of payment does WINES OF CALIFORNIA accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards; money orders, and we do offer invoicing on all pre-approved accounts (minimum $1,500 first order). Terms are net 30 days from date of shipment.
Q: How long does it take to establish credit with your company?
A: It takes about 2 business days for credit approval.
Q: Do you collect sales tax?
A: State law requires us to collect sales tax delivered within the state of CA.
Q: How long will the gourmet foods in my gift basket stay fresh?
A: The items packaged inside are best if consumed within 6 to 9 months.
Q: Are the bottles of wine the size of a regular bottle of wine seen in stores?
A: Yes - all baskets containing wine are standard 750 ML bottles.
Q: When will my order arrive?
A: Please allow 8-10 working days from date of purchase.
Q: What is your product substitution policy?
A: In the rare instance when demand outstrips supply of a particular item, we will replace it with one of equal or greater value at no additional charge.
